On September 20, 2026, the Golden Horseshoe Ride for Dad brought the motorcycle community together in Stoney Creek to support prostate cancer research and awareness. Riders, volunteers, sponsors, and supporters shared a common purpose: helping more people understand the importance of early detection.
The Golden Horseshoe chapter was established in 2005. According to its chapter page, it has raised more than $831,282over its history for prostate cancer research and public awareness. That cumulative achievement reflects years of local sponsorship, volunteer effort, and riders returning to support the cause.
The chapter describes itself as a grassroots community partner. Its rides welcome motorcycle clubs, individual riders, and community leaders, with local sponsors helping bring the event together.
For the 2026 ride, the starting point was Hamilton Croatian Hall at 166 Green Mountain Road East in Stoney Creek. Doors opened at 9 a.m., with kickstands up at 11 a.m. Registration was listed at $40 in advance or $45 on ride day. Participants were offered a poker card, lunch, an RFD bike flag, a door-prize ticket, and a swag bag while supplies lasted. Live music, a 50/50 draw, and raffles were also part of the event.
The motorcycles bring people together, but the cause carries well beyond ride day. Ride for Dad supports prostate cancer research and public awareness, with a focus on early detection. Every rider, donor, sponsor, and volunteer helps keep that message visible.
